Clare parents are being advised to apply early for the Back to School Clothing and Footwear Allowance this summer.
Though school is barely out for summer thousands of Clare parents are expected to seek assistance with the back to school costs through payments of 200 euro or 305 euro depending on the age of their children, with extra applications expected in the current economic climate.
Clare TD and Minister of State Tony Killeen has urged eligible families to apply in plenty of time in order to ensure that they receive payment before the new school year starts.
Application time for the Back to School Clothing and Footwear Allowance, as it can take 6 to 8 weeks to process applications and receive payment.
