The HSE has been given the green light to carry out major works at Ennis General Hospital.
The proposal will see two single storey extensions constructed in order to facilitate a further development in the main building.

It comes as an application has recently been finalised for a €9.95m operating theatres and First Stage Recovery Unit, equipped with four new recovery bays and a Central Sterile Supply Department at St. Josephs.
A decision for the new theatre unit will be made by the local authority by no later than November 19th, while public submissions will be accepted up to the 29th of October.
