Planning permission is being sought to build 31 houses on the outskirts of Ennis.
Jamire Limited have submitted an application to Clare County Council for the proposed development in Roslevan.
The application for the proposed development on the Tulla Road, was lodged with the local authority last week.
Jamire Limited, intend to build 31 houses in total – 24 three bed two storey semi-detached units, 4 four-bed two storey houses with attic conversions, 1 three-bed two storey terrace home and 2 two-bed two storey terraced units.
The site has never been subject to a planning permission application before.
The site owners undertook a four-stage eradication programme to deal with the prescence of Japanese Knotwood – a highly invasive plant.
The plants have been treated and the applicants will conduct surveillance during the summer season for the next number of years to ensure the plant doesn’t come back.
Clare County Council aims to issue a decision by April 9th.
