A popular public car park on the outskirts of Ennis could see a significant expansion in the near future.
Clare County Council has submitted plans for extending the public car park in the Gort Road Business Park by 62 spaces.
The development would involve removing and realiging the existing kerb line as well as providing road manholes, gullies, drainage pipework, ancillary site services, signage and road markings.

The planning application states an Envrionmental Impact Assessment screening determination has been made and no significant effects on the environment are likely.
Submissions relating to the application can be made up until October 4th and a decision will be reached on the development by November 28th.
