The newly elected president of Ennis Chamber says labour shortages continue to be the main problem for businesses, despite the enormity of other strains like rising input costs.

Bank Of Ireland’s Colin Ryan replaced previous Chamber President Darragh McAllister at the end of March.

Now a month into the role, Colin says the feedback from members is that businesses’ main concern is the inability to attract and retain staff.

Colin Ryan believes Ukrainian refugees may be able to help in the short-term, but that there’s no one solution.
