A new report’s highlighting the level of unemployment and work discrimination facing Ireland’s black African community.

The ESRI research shows they’re 7 times more likely to report discrimination when they’re looking for a job.

And when they get one, they’re nearly 7 times more likely to be discriminated against in that environment.

Figures from 2010 show that with an unemployment rate of 36 per cent, black African immigrants living in this country are 4 times more likely to be out of work than their white Irish counterparts.
