Clare Samaritans are remind people who are struggling this Christmas that there will always be someone on hand to help.
Their Ennis branch has answered over 41,000 calls for help in the last 12 months, with most of these calls received out of hours when other support is not available.
The group expects a jump in calls over the Christmas period, during which many people can find themselves particularly lonely and isolated.
Clare volunteer Kevin Phelan is encouraging people to contact the Samaritans if they are finding life difficult.
