Searches are continuing in Kilkee for a man believed to be missing since late yesterday.
The missing man is understood to come from the county.
The alarm was raised at around 11.00pm last night when Gardaí requested the Irish Coast Guard to assist in a search of the cliff walk at the west end in Kilkee.
The missing man is in his 30’s and from Co Clare.
Members of the Kilkee unit of the Irish Coast Guard commenced a search of the area late last night while the Shannon based search and rescue helicopter, Rescue 115, was also tasked to assist.
The search was called off at around 1.30am with no sign of the man being found, but resumed early this morning.
Coast Guard volunteers and Gardaí have been joined by around 50 members of the public who have been walking the cliff path.
The search continues.
