Shannon Aiport voices concern over TEEU strike

Shannon Airport‘s confirmed the electrician’s strike has the potential to delay the start date for pre-clearance.

 

It’s one of hundreds of sites nationwide affected by the dispute between the TEEU and the employers group.

 

A spokesperson for Shannon Airport has told Clare FM the protest does affect two projects, pre-clearance and the overlay work on the runway.

 

However they are monitoring the situation carefully.

 

Meanwhile both sides in the row head for talks at the LRC today, but the pickets will remain.

 

The Irish Congress of Trade Unions has agreed to ballot its members on an all-out picket on the issue.
