Hundreds of airline passengers bound for Shannon have been left stranded in New York as a result of Hurricane Sandy.
Aer Lingus has cancelled all its American flights to and from the Midwest airport due to the impact of the Hurruicane on the east coast of the USA
The airline has has dropped all flights between Dublin and Shannon Airports and Boston and New York with intending passengers advised to contact the airline in relation to the disruption.
Shannon airport has also advised passengers that transatlantic flights may also be affected tomorrow.
