A new initiative to help improve Irish students understanding and knowledge of Maths is being launched in Clare today.
The MATHletes Challenge, which is based on the Khan Academy approach to learning and teaching maths, gives pupils the opportunity to complete challenges online to win prizes and compete in regional and national finals.
Students from 5th and 6th class in primary school and 1st to 3rd year in secondary school will be able to take part in the scheme which is being launched by Irish American Technology Entrepreneur Sean O’Sullivan and the Minister for Training and Skills Ciaran Cannon at a conference in Shannon Airport.
