Lying Eyes Sharon Collins insists she’s done nothing wrong, has nothing to regret and continues to maintain her innocence.
Speaking exclusively on Clare FM’s Morning Focus, Patrick Moylan – Solicitor for the Ennis woman says its her belief she will be able to prove her innocence in a forthcoming book.
The 49 year old was freed from jail on Monday after serving four years for attempting to solicit Las Vegas Poker dealer Essam Eid to kill her partner Ennis Businessman PJ Howard and his sons Robert and Niall.
The mother of two was convicted after a seven week trial in 2008 and her sentence was upheld by the Court of Criminal Appeal last year.
Her solicitor Patrick Moylan says she has mixed emotions about her time in the Dochas Women’s Centre in Mountjoy Jail and while she would love to return to Ennis someday, it wouldn’t be possible now given the media focus. particularly on her family.
However she has now started to write a book about her experiences but it’s unlikely there will be an action on it until her official release from the prison system in December.
