Ennis plays host to some of the competitors taking part in the Special Olympics Ireland Games which officially get underway in the Mid West today.
80 athletes will take part in the bowling competition which is being held at Ennis Leisureworld.
Thousands of people turned out for the opening ceremony of the event at Thomand Park last night and over the coming days over 1900 athletes will take part in 14 different sports with over 3,500 volunteers helping out.
