Ten Clare projects are to receive a boost in Government funding to allow for conservation works to the county’s heritage structures.

4 million euro in funding is being made available to 512 projects across the country under the Built Heritage Investment Scheme, which provides support to those responsible for the care of the country’s built heritage, to safeguard it into the future.

Funding of between €2,500 and €15,000 has been earmarked for the ten projects across Clare, with Stacks in Ennistymon and No 1 Bindon St, Ennis both acquiring the largest allocation.

The funding, which has been announced by Minister of State for Heritage and Electoral Reform, Malcolm Noonan, can be used to undertake repair work, contributing to the upkeep and maintenance of heritage structures.
