Ukrainian authorities say they've foiled a string of terror attacks planned during the Euro 2016 tournament – which begins on Friday.

The head of the country's security services says they've detained a French man who'd made contact with arms dealers and had explosives on him when he was arrested.

French president Francois Hollande says there is a clear terror threat – but insists Euros will be a success.
