Trolley Numbers Beginning To Climb At UHL Again This Week

The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital are beginngin to climb again this week.

The latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show there were 92 patients waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick during morning rounds, 35 of those in the Emergenc Department.

The overall figure is more than double the next busiest facility, Cork University Hospital and comes on a day when 438 admitted patients were waiting on trolleys at hospitals across the country.
