Trolley Number’s At Region’s Main Hospital Climb To 94

The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital is continuing to spiral.

The latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show there were 94 patients waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick during morning rounds, 37 of those in the Emergency Department.

The overall figure is more than two dozen more than the next busiest facility.

There were 562 patients on trolleys at hospitals across the country this morning, according to the figures.
