Two Fatal Shootings In Dublin, Kildare

Gardaí in Dublin have formally launched a murder investigation following a fatal shooting in the city yesterday evening.

The victim has been named as Christopher Warren – aged 35.

He was dropped at St James’ Hospital with gunshot wounds shortly before 7 o’clock but died a short time later from his injuries.

Gardaí discovered the car used to bring the victim to St. James’- a blue Mercedes was later found on Cork Street in Dublin.

Meanwhile, gardaí are investigating a second, separate shooting that happened just before 6 o’clock this morning in Kildare.

A 33-year-old man was taken to Naas General Hospital – with serious gunshot injuries.

He was later pronounced dead. 

A house in Kilmeague in Naas has been sealed off.

No arrests have been made and Gardaí say they’re keeping an open mind and are not ruling out the possibility that the man’s death may have been accidental.
