Udder chaos in Ennis as rogue cow runs wild

 

An Ennis garda and several members of the public escaped serious injury after a cow went on the rampage in Clare’s County Town.

The animal broke loose from the mart on Quin road yesterday and ran wild along Clon Road -one of the busiest routes in the town.

A garda who tried to corral the animal was knocked down and dragged along the road while three other members of the public who tried to help were also injured.

The cow was eventually brought under control and forced into a nearby field where she remains this morning.
