Staff at Ulster Bank have been told of the company's plans to shed another 100 jobs this morning.

The Bank says the job losses had previously been announced as part of a larger programme of restructuring and that it's hopeful cuts can be made through voluntary redundancies.

There are two Ulster Bank facilities in the county; in Ennis and Shannon but its not yet known if staff there are affected.

Gareth Murphy from the Financial Services Union represents workers impacted by today's announcement.

He says staff were called into meetings this morning to be told and are finding it hard to process the news.
