Clare County Council has launched an urgent recruitment campaign for retained firefighters across the county.
Those wishing to apply for the roles would form part of the on-call roster and must live within a five minute radius of the station they are seeking to join.
Applications for the Ennistymon, Kilrush, Kilkee, Killaloe and Shannon brigades close on Tuesday, November 14, while expressions of interest for the Scariff unit will close on November 21st.
