Legal action being taken by an American Heiress who claims she was defrauded of millions by her Irish former fiancée will be heard in full in April.

Thomas J Queally who lives in New York but is originally from Lahaknock, Kilmaley, Co. Clare denies he was ever engaged to Elisa Rodino or that he was unauthorised to take the money.

Elisa Rodino claims Thomas J Queally, who had been engaged to her, has stolen about $4m dollars or 3 million euro of her money – a large portion of which was lodged by him into a bank in Ennis, Co Clare.

She also claims that Mr Queally, who she has not seen for months, had been living a double life and had another fiancée while engaged to her.

Last month, Ms Rodino secured a number of temporary freezing orders against Mr Queally preventing him from withdrawing the funds, and is now seeking for these to be set aside by the High Court –

46 year old Mr Queally of Sherman Avenue, Yonkers, New York, and originally from Lahaknock, Kilmaley denies the claims.

The case will be heard in full in April
