Visitors Asked To Keep Clare Beaches Clean

Visitors to Clare's beaches are being urged to leave nothing behind but their footprints this Bank Holiday weekend.

Additional resources have been put in place by Clare County Council to deal with an increase in litter resulting from a rise in visitor numbers to beaches such as Kilkee, Lahinch and Spanish Point.

The local authority is also installing additional refuse facilities at Clare’s Blue Flag beaches, while litter wardens have been deployed to monitor littering activity.
