Weather Alert Issued For Clare As Unseasonable Winds To Coincide With High Tides

Met Éireann is warning of unseasonably strong winds in Clare overnight tonight, as Storm Lillian tracks across the country.

The national forecaster has issued a low level yellow wind alert for this county and the rest of Munster, along with Laois, Kilkenny, Carlow, Wicklow and Wexford.

The adverse weather coincides with high tides and potential impacts include coastal flooding, wave over-topping, power outages and fallen trees.

The alert comes into effect at midnight tonight and remains in place until 6am.
