Woman Assaulted While Walking Home In Ennis

Gardaí have launched an investigation after a woman suffered an unprovoked assault in Ennis.

At approximately 1:50 am on Saturday morning, a woman was walking home along Steele’s Terrace when she was approached by a female unknown to her.

The female struck her in the face, before fleeing the scene in a taxi, while the injured party immediately contacted Ennis Garda Station.

Clare Crime Prevention Officer Sergeant Catríona Holohan has this appeal for information.

Gardaí in Ennis are investigating an assault on a woman on Steele’s Terrace in the early hours of Saturday morning, the 10th August.

The injured party was walking home at approximately 1.50am along Steele’s Terrace when she was approached by a female not known to her.

In an unprovoked manner, the female struck her in the face and fled the scene.

The injured party immediately contacted Ennis Garda Station and Gardaí are seeking the public’s assistance in their investigation.
