The work of Clare Haven has been documented in a new book to be launched this week.
Light On The Horizon tells the story of Ennis woman Mary Fitzgerald and Colette Redington, who met by chance in 1992 when they were both helping women who were victims of domestic abuse.
One in four Irish women in a relationship is estimating to have been abused by a current or former partner.
Co-founder of Clare Haven and Haven Horizons, Colette Redington, syas there has been a sea change in how the issue is viewed in recent years.
