Today on Morning Focus, we spoke about how the Regional health services are coping with Covid – 19.
The Director of Public Health Mid West, Dr Mai Mannis and Chief Officer of Community Health Midwest, Dr Maria Bridgeman joined us in studio to discuss the latest regarding the Coronavirus. More procedures are to be cancelled across the UL Hospitals Group tomorrow, while a visitor ban is also to be extended. Restrictions on elective surgeries and outpatient appointments have been introduced across the six hospitals, including Ennis General yesterday and today, and are now to remain in place for a third day. The move comes as health authorities continue to cope with the Covid-19 outbreak as 75 staff at Dooradoyle are currently in self-isolation.
