On Tuesday, October 1, Keane’s shop in Carriagholt will close although the pub, which has been operating for almost 200 years, will remain open for business.
Located across the road from Carrigaholt Pier, Keane’s shop has been a stop-off point for many thousands of visitors to the village and the Loop Head peninsula every summer as well as a vital resource for people who live in the village and nearby.
