On Tuesday’s Morning Focus, Clare FM’s Seán Lyons caught up with Chief Superintendent of the Clare-Tipperary Garda Division, Colm O’Sullivan, to discuss Clare County Council’s decision to keep the Ennis Market Building closed until further notice due to “workplace safety, health, and public welfare concerns.”

The move comes amid complaints of ongoing anti-social behaviour in the covered public car park, which has been an object of criticism since it was opened in 2016 as a result of a €1.75 million redevelopment.

Meanwhile, the Clare Joint Policing Committee, which consists of local councillors, Oireachtas members, Gardaí, and community and voluntary sector representatives, met earlier this week to discuss issues relating to law and order in this county.

To get clarity on this and other matters relating to crime in the county, Alan spoke with Pat Daly, Fianna Fáil Cllr and Mayor of Ennis.
