Basketball is fast becoming one of the fastest-growing sports in Clare Up to 10 clubs are currently catering to both underage and adult players across the county, with two teams currently competing in national development competitions.
One of those people driving the resurgence of the sport is Lissycasey native Claire Cuddihy, who will be honoured at the end of the month with a Sport Ireland Volunteer of the Year award for her work with teams across a number of age grades.
