On Wednesday’s Morning Focus, Pat Flynn was joined on the line by Valerie Larkin, the creator of the quilt and the Director General of Comhaltas Ceoiltoiri Labhrás O’Murchú who were the winners of the draw for the quilt.
At the start of the year Alan Morrissey has spoken with Valery Larkin who has kick-started an interesting initiative that was all for charity.
A group of women from County Clare spent most of last year handcrafting a large quilt, consisting of 60 squares showing the historic and cultural aspects of the county.
The quilt was raffled with all proceeds going to Clare based charities – West Clare Cancer Support, Sláinte an Chláir and Doolin Lifeboats.
