The first four quarter finalists of the 2017 Clare Senior Football Championship will be decided this weekend.

One of the standout ties in the winners round will be the all parish derby meeting of Lissycasey and Clondegad as they go head to head in Cooraclare on Saturday afternoon.

The Ballynacally based side come into the game without the services of county star Shane Brennan through injury, but will have his brother and county captain Gary lining out in the middle of the field.

Manager Michael Hehir says while it’s a bonus to have two shots at the quarter final, they’re determined to do it at the first time of asking.

That one starts in Cooraclare on Saturday afternoon with a 3pm throw in.

Meanwhile there’s a west Clare derby in store as Cooraclare and Doonbeg go head to head for the third time in four years, with the Sky Blues coming out on top on both previous occasions.

Doonbeg have one major injury concern ahead of the game with county star David Tubridy in a race against time to recover from a knee injury.

Magpies boss Brian Shanahan says feels they face a tough challenge from their neighbours

That game starts at 7pm in Quilty on Saturday evening
