Banner out to defend Munster title against Tip

Clare take on old rivals Tipperary this evening in the Munster U21 hurling final at Semple Stadium.

Tonight’s match is  repeat of the 2008 decider which saw Tipperary claim the Munster title in controversial circumstances.

Clare defeated Limerick 2 weeks  to reach the decider  and  manager  John Minogue says the side  will need to improve from their performance in the Gaelic Grounds.

Tipperary edged Cork after extra time in Pairc Uí Chaoimh to seal their place in the final and boast  a number of senior players amongst their ranks.
