Munster Senior Camogie Final: Clare – 1-09 – Tipperary – 1-26

Clare have fallen at the final provincial hurdle for the second campaign in succession following a seventeen point defeat at the hands of Tipperary in Semple Stadium this afternoon.

Cáít Devane & Eimear McGrath led the charge for The Premier women with the latter’s goal seeing the eventual champions into a 1-12 to 0-06 lead at the interval.

The Banner roared back into the contention on the restart with Truagh-Clonlara’s Áine O’Loughlin raising a green flag to reduce arrears, while Doireann Murphy delivered an exhibition of point blank saves to keep John Carmody’s charges in the fight.

However, Tipperary would eventually find their second wind to finish out the tie as deserved winners on a full time score of 1-26 to 1-09.
