Clare county board to hold special meeting about minor postponements

The Clare county board will hear a proposal from the Clare minor management this evening as they seek a postponement of the next round of the county senior hurling championship.

The final round of games is due to be played on the weekend of the 27th and 28th of this month,just one week before the county minor side take on Kilkenny in the All Ireland final.

The minor management are understood to have contacted the county board earlier this week seeking the special meeting to discuss the issue.

Elsewhere in hurling news and Kilamley, Clooney Quinn and Clarecastle are all deadlocked on 5 points in group two in the senior hurling championship follwing last nights games.

Clarecastle beat Scariff to sit top of the table while Kilmaley and Clooney quinn are seperated only by score difference.

The final round 4 game of the championship takes aplce on Saturday with Sixmilebridge taking on Inagh Kilnamona at 5-15 in Cusack POark.
