Several young Clare hurlers played a key role in Ard Scoil Ris’ first ever Harty Cup success yesterday when they helped the Limerick school beat Thurles CBS 3-15 to 14 points in Nenagh.
Jamie Shanahan from Sixmilebridge, Sean O Connor from Meelick,Shane Crehan from O Callaghan’s Mills and Martin Moroney from Parteen were all part of the side which recorded the historic win at the third time of asking last evening.
The win was all the more special for the fact it was achieved in the absence of joint captain Cathal Mc Inerney from Cratloe who was sent off in the first replay last weekend and missed yesterdasy win through suspension.
