Clare will be without one of their key players for the 2024 intercounty season.
Current captain Eoin Cleary has confirmed he is taking a year out from committing to the panel, with Irish Daily Mail reporting the Miltown man has informed the group of his decision.
Cleary took over the captaincy of the squad following Gary Brennan’s retirement, with 2023 being his 10th consecutive season involved with the panel.
He is currently sidelined with a pelvic injury, which forced him to miss out on the closing stages of Clare’s championship season this year.
Thanks to Michael Clifford for his time in doing a piece for yesterdays @irishdailymail
