In the opening round, Clare ran All-Ireland Champions Kerry down to the wire in Tralee, losing out by the minimum, before shipping an eight-point defeat to Cork in Quilty last Sunday.

Colm Collins says despite disappointment that the banner failed to build on their impressive opening display against the Kingdom, the focus was always on the first round of the league when Mickey Harte’s Louth visit Cusack Park on January 29th.
