Clonlara’s only two time senior hurling championship winner is praising the work done across the whole club to secure the Canon Hamilton.
County star John Conlon is the only remaining link to Clonlara’s 2008 winning squad, with that 15 year gap being bridged with victory over Crusheen.
Up next will be a Munster club semi-final against the Tipperary champions in Semple Stadium in four weeks time.
Conlon says everyone made the commitment this year to target getting over the line.
Meanwhile another of Clonlara’s key men feels there was a sense within their group that progress was being made from the outset of the season.
Centre back Dylan McMahon admits the drive to take things to the next level came from within their own group.
