Corofin Expecting Tough Contest With Neighbours St Breckan’s In Season Defining TUS Clare Senior Football Championship Tie

Corofin are facing into the last group game of their TUS Clare senior football campaign knowing they must pick up a win to give themselves a chance at progressing in this year’s TUS Clare senior football championship.

Narrow losses to Kildysart and St Joseph’s leave the the North Clare men bottom of the group standings ahead of their clash with neighbours St Breckan’s.

A late rally last time out against the Parish just came up short, but victory on Sunday coupled with a Kildysart victory over Doora Barefield would give Corofin a place in the playoff round.

Meanwhile St Breckan’s picked up their first victory over the season after raising four green flags in their win over Kildysart.

Manager Declan O’Keeffe says while it was pleasing to see a ruthless streak in his side, they know that more improvements are needed to keep their season alive.
