Two former Clare intermediate championship winning managers and fellow clubmen will be in direct opposition in Sunday’s Clare Intermediate Football Final.
Kilmurry Ibrickane’s Dermot Coughlan and James Murrihy are involved with Kilmihil and Kilrush respectively as coaches, having previously led other clubs to victory in the competition.
Coughlan steered Clondegad to the senior ranks with victory over Kilmurry in 2011 while Murrihy was manager of Corofin when they made the breakthrough in 2014, beating Kilmihil in the final.
Coughlan says he’s confident Kilmihil are well primed to take their shot at the title this time round.
