At the break, Cratloe led by 2-13 to 0-09, with both goals coming from the stick of Cathal McInerney, while Corofin were largely dependent on GearĂ³id Kelly placed balls.

The double county champions of 2014 particularly impressed their dominance on the opposition puckout, pressing up on the short restarts and consistently overturning possession on long deliveries, with Enda Boyce and Sean Gallagher to the fore.

Kevin Danaher added Cratloe’s third goal of the day on 39 minutes after a long ball from Conor McGrath held up in the end and was subsequently bungled to the net.

Rian Considine would soon add his side’s fourth goal of the day and would finish with a personal tally of 1-11 and although Corofin netminder Liam Corbett would pull off a number of fine saves to minimise the deficit, Cratloe would run out comfortable victors.

It finished in Cusack Park on a full-time score of Cratloe 4-23 to Corofin 0-19.

Cratloe will require a win when they face Kilmaley in the final round in order to boost their hopes of progression, while Corofin will be hoping for a massive result against Feakle to avoid a relegation battle.
