Clare hurling selector Donal Og Cusack says it's important they maintain momentum ahead of a promotion showdown with Limerick in two weeks time.

The Banner made it three wins from three in Division 1B with victory over Laois, meaning they are now safely through to the last 8 of the league.

Next up is a meeting with the Kingdom on Sunday, while Limerick come to Cusack Park in a fortnights time for a promotion decider.

The Cork native says while that is a huge game, they need focus on the challenge of Kerry first.

Limerick also eased into the quarter finals after they beat Offaly yesterday, while Wexford were comfortable winners over Kerry.
