Disappointment For Irish In Barcelona

Ireland’s wait for a medal at the 2010 European Championships continues after two of our finest medal hopes both missed out last night.

Athenry’s Paul Hession could only manage sixth in the 200m final, while David Gillick was fifth in the final of the 400m.

The winning time was slower than the fastest he has ran this year, while he was just .05 of a second off a medal.
