Michael Guilfoyle’s charges are one step away from securing return passage to the Senior ranks of Clare Hurling following an intense semi-final victory over Corofin on a score line of 3-16 to 2-15 after extra time in Clarecastle.

Majors from Conor Tierney, Alan O’Neill and a Cathal Ruane green flag in the dying embers of extra time propelled St.Joseph’s Doora-Barefield to their second successive Clare Intermediate Hurling Final.

The Parish will face Tulla in the decider, in a competition which has seen the Mid Clare outfit experience mixed fortunes against East Clare opposition in recent times.

Smith 0’Brien’s overturned Doora-Barefield in last years final by the minimum while the Parish were victorious in the Intermediate County Final of 2016 beating Broaford by 1-12 to 0-10.
