The draws for the quarter-finals of the TUS Clare senior and intermediate hurling championship will be made this evening while the line up for the relegation battles will also be known

There are some potentially mouth watering ties in store, with county champions Clonlara set to be in the unseeded side of the draw this evening.

Eire Óg finished on top of the Group One standings after beating and eliminating Ballyea from this years race for the Canon.

Group Two was the last of the weekend to be determined and it was arguably the most dramatic, as Conor McGrath’s last gasp point saw Cratloe edge out Kilmaley by a single point on scoring difference, with Feakle topping the group after victory over Corofin

Scariff secured the seeded draw from Group Three as they came from behind to beat O’Callaghan’s Mills, while Inagh-Kilnamona clinched second spot with victory over Broadford.

Sixmilebridge are the seeded team from Group Four as they secured a draw with neighbours Newmarket, while Crusheen are also into the hat after victory over St Josephs

It means the seeded teams for the draw tonight are Eire Og, Feakle, Scariff and Sixmilebridge, with the other side of the pot being filled by Clonlara, Inagh-Kilnamona, Cratloe and Crusheen

The TUS intermediate quarter final draw will also be made, with the seeded teams there being Clarecastle, Sixmilebrige, Wolfe Tones, and Whitegate, with the unseeded teams being Ruan, Tubber, Killanena, and Parteen-Meelick.

The relegation semi finals in the TUS senior championship will be contested between St Joseph’s, Corofin, O’Callaghan’s Mills and Clooney-Quin

The draws will be made this evening in Caherlohan from 7pm
