Eire Óg are facing an anxious wait to see if one of their key men is available to line out this weekend in their TUS Clare senior hurling tie against Ballyea.

Double All Ireland winner Shane O’Donnell was forced off with a hamstring injury during their win over Clonlara last time out, and is facing a race against time to be back for Saturday evening ‘s derby clash.

A six point win for Ballyea coupled with a victory for Clonlara over Clooney-Quin would see the 2022 champions through, while defeat for Ballyea could put them in relegation trouble if Clooney-Quin overturn the holders.
