Fitzgerald: Tough League Campaign Will Stand To Clare In Championship

Clare’s man of the match in their National League clash with Limerick felt a draw was a fair outcome to the contest.

A late exchange of frees between Tony Kelly and David Reidy saw the sides finish level at 0-18 each in what was their second meeting of 2022.

The sides will meet again in Cusack Park in the Munster championship on May 15th, in what will be Limerick’s final game of the round robin series.

Inagh-Kilnamona’s David Fitzgerald says having such a good test will stand to the squad as the focus begins to move toward the championship

Meanwhile Banner forward Ryan Taylor says the squad have been working on creating goal chances throughout their season to date.

Sunday’s game was the only time Brian Lohan’s side have failed to hit the net in their league run, with seven goals in their previous three games.

The Clooney-Quin man says they are hoping to continue building that threat ahead of the championship series
