St. Flannan’s go in search of a place in the knock-out stages of the top competition for Munster schools this afternoon.

While they’ve already recorded three wins from their opening matches in this season’s Harty Cup, the Ennis school cannot rest on their laurels as they take on Doon CBS.

Defeat would see Flannan’s, Doon and Dungarvan all end up on 6 points at the end of the group stage, after which scoring difference would come into play.

Manager Mike McInerney admits they need a win, and is expecting a difficult game.

Throw in at the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick is at 1:30 this afternoon.

At the same time in Ballyagran, St. Caimin’s take on Gaelcholaiste Mhuire in their final outing of this year’s Harty Cup.

The Shannon school are without a win thus far, and cannot reach the knock-out stages.
