The future of Ladies Football in Clare looks bright:

That’s according to Minor Manager Davy Browne who watched his side claim a first Munster "A" title in 15 years yesterday.

Clare beat Cork and Kerry on the way to the title and the Bainisteoir believes the talent is there for the county to challenge for senior honours in the coming years.

The All-Ireland semi-final isn’t until after the leaving cert on the 15th July when Clare will face Connacht or Leinster opposition.

The football leagues in County Clare are taking shape.:

In the Cusack Cup, Kilmurry Ibrickane are 5 for 5 to lead the way on 10 points with Miltown St. Joseph’s now sharing 2nd spot with Doonbeg on 7 points.

In the Garry Cup there are 3 teams tied on 6 points as Kilmihil, Ennistymon and St. Senan’s are all vying for promotion.

St. Senan’s and fellow contenders Clondegad have a game in hand after their top of the table clash was called off yesterday
